The Maida Vale Labour councillors have launched a petition asking Westminster Council to take action against speeding motorists on Lauderdale Road.

Lauderdale Road is a broad street with one-way traffic. Most car drivers obey the 20mph limit but a significant minority treat it like a race track. Residents are very worried about the risk of accidents and are demanding that traffic calming measures be put in place.

A petition has been launched which anyone living or working in Westminster can sign.

Councillor Nafsika Butler-Thalassis said “We need urgent action to improve road safety on Lauderdale Road before someone is killed.”
