Barclays’ plan to close its Maida Vale branch – long queue outside the nearest branch in Edgware Road

Barclays say that closing the Maida Vale branch on Elgin Avenue is OK because there is another Barclays branch just over a mile away at 127 Edgware Road.

So we went to look for ourselves on Monday 5th October at 1.00pm and took the photograph of what looked like a 20-person queue.

We will be meeting Barclays to put this to them and urge that they keep open the Elgin Avenue branch.
