Taking up local issues on behalf of residents is part and parcel of being a good local Councillor. This is something that the late Councillor Gillian Arrindell did day in, day out, during her time as a Vincent Square Ward Councillors from May 2022 until her sad passing at the end of 2024.

Now Labour’s Joanna Camadoo-Rothwell is following Gillian’s fine example and is helping residents on the Millbank Estate and elsewhere with their daily concerns.

This week, Joanna met residents in Ruskin House where the missing handles need to be replaced on the living room windows of one flat as the windows cannot be opened in their current state. Joanna contacted the Housing Team to ask for this to be fixed as a matter of urgency. She also asked for the window frames to be repainted, too,

Joanna said, “Helping residents with their day to day concerns and getting things fixed is my top priority. My previous experience as a Councillor means I know how to get things done and I am delighted to be helping Vincent Square residents.”
